Intern (Software Engineering) – KL

Responsibilities

  • Work with developers to implement back-end services, APIs, and internal tools
  • Debug issues and address performance bottlenecks
  • Conform to modern best practices and coding standards
  • Integrate applications with databases and work with table structures and data querying
  • Write and implement unit tests
  • Read and produce technical documentation
  • Coordinate projects and manage administrative work

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or related fields)
  • Must have completed 2nd year
  • Must be able to commit to full 3 months of internship
  • Proficient with 2 or more of the following programming languages or technologies:
    • PHP, ASP.NET, C#, HTML5
    • C++, Java, Swift
    • AWS
    • RESTful API, JSON, XML
    • MS SQL Server and databases
  • General understanding of software architecture and technologies (e.g. enterprise architecture, RESTful API, MS Dynamics CRM)
  • Software repo, portfolio, or sample a strong plus
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent work ethic, driven, critical thinker, willing to take on varied challenges, time management skills, able to work and seek information or help independently
